Description

Learn or expand your knowledge of wheel thrown ceramics with Laura Parker. Beginners will be introduced to clay and wheel-throwing techniques. Students will learn the technique of throwing, centering, and making cylinders, bowls, and mugs. We will move through the process of centering, trimming, pulling & attaching handles, and glazing. Intermediate and advanced students will be guided through a technique of their choice.


Laura is skilled in both pottery and sculpture. She loves teaching folks new ways of thinking about ceramics, and helping their imaginations take form. She works on her pieces from her small home shop as well as the Smithy, but loves the communal energy of our studio!
