Multiples Feast workshop with Karla Andela . Ever wonder what it would be like to make many things of the same size or shape? Join me as we explore the tips and tricks of production potters. You will make a set of work to be used in a final potluck feast! Come up with an idea.. maybe you want to make a full diner set, 6 matching bowls, or some mugs that resemble one another. Whatever you make will be used during our potluck on the final day. Intermediate potters only (basic knowledge of the wheel is necessary).
Please Review the schedule closely as the meeting days and hours are irregular.
Saturday July 27: 9am-3pm. Bring your own lunch! This grueling day will be all throwing! Many demos with Karla and ample time to try them out. Stretching breaks and lunch/ snack breaks are a must!
Sunday, July 28: 12-3 Trimming day. How do we tie everything together from the ground up?
Thursday, August 1: 6-9pm. Glazing party! (I know this is open studio time, but perhaps we can use it for my class? The timing is best to get things fired before Sunday)
Sunday, August 4: 12-3. Presentation of pieces and potluck lunch. Prepare to celebrate each other’s work as we eat together.
