Description

Do you want to keep your greenware workable for longer? If you are making multiples, constructing pieces out of multiple parts (like adding handles to a lot of mugs), or working on surface details for a long time then you might want to try using a damp box to control the moisture levels around your pieces.

In this class, we'll make individual portable damp boxes. Small boxes will be provided for the first class and then participants will bring a box of their choosing for the second workshop. Plaster will also be provided.

Laura Parker is skilled in both pottery and sculpture. She loves teaching folks new ways of thinking about ceramics, and helping their imaginations take form. She works on her pieces from her small home shop as well as the Smithy, but loves the communal energy of our studio!
