Join Normandy for a lively discussion on cups and mugs: what distinguishes the good from the great, design principles, and available techniques. Normandy will draw from her extensive collection to provide hands-on examples and invite you to bring a favorite mug if you wish. All levels welcome.
This event is offered for a suggested donation of $25. Normandy is donating her time and all proceeds will go towards a Spring glow-up at the studio. We need fresh canvas for the handbuilding tables and signage for Summer events among other things so be generous if you can!
About Normandy:
Normandy Alden is an artist living and working in Otsego County. She has an MFA from the University of Nebraska and works in clay, fiber arts, paper and wood. Her work is inspired by everyday domestic life and the simplicity of the agrarian landscape. The sustaining power of the land to feed, clothe and uplift drives her studio practice.
Tea and homemade cookies will be provided by the studio managers. Attendees are welcome to drink tea from the mugs they bring!
