Come join us for a
4 week class where we'll learn the essentials of coiling while also
exploring handbuilt mugs + 'what is a handle?'. Students will learn how to build mugs with coil handbuilding techniques while also
incorporating pinching and slab. We will cover surface decoration from
perforations to sgrafitto (drawing) to mishima (inlay) to slip and
glaze. Students will not only create pieces in their own signature
style but also make the perfect holiday gift!
This class welcomes all levels of student.
About Anne Carnevale:
Anne fell in love with shards of pottery as a child at archaeological sites which eventually led to her first ceramics class on a study abroad program. Whichever city she landed over the years she made sure to find a communal studio and studied with an array of teachers. She's been creating full time since 2013 and has taught all ages privately since then. She enjoys working with interior designers and her work can be found in boutiques internationally and locally since her recent move to the area.
Please note that the studio is closed for the week of Thanksgiving, November 21st to 28th. Check your session dates.
